Children's Mental Health Week 2024 will take place from 5–11 February 2024. This year's theme is 'My Voice Matters'.
My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. During Children’s Mental Health Week, we want all children and young people, whoever they are, and wherever they are in the world, to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters”.
Students have had assemblies to talk to them about Children’s Mental Health Week and have also completed two pastoral sessions in tutor time to discuss the themes around this. Students have discussed the idea of being able to speak out and have a voice plus the idea of being proud of yourself and your achievements. They finished their sessions by looking at strategies to improve their wellbeing and also referred to their personal organisers (pg. 151 onwards) where they have pages from the charity Mind, with a specific reference to methods of support.
