Dear Parents and Carers
Inspection 48- Cardinal Newman Catholic School
We are delighted and proud to share with you the outcome of the recent Inspection 48.
The inspection took place on 16th and 17th March. During the process the two inspectors reviewed lessons, books, behaviour, observed assemblies, interviewed staff, students and parents.
The students’ conduct was exemplary throughout, they were so proud of the school and wanted to ensure that our inspectors saw this. We were all extremely proud of them.
The report notes:
“Behaviour in lessons is consistently outstanding across all key stages;”
“Pupils know whom to go to if there is a problem, and they value the strong community spirit. They speak of solid relationships with their tutors and the extended community to which they belong, contributing to excellent behaviour.”
The school has not had a full inspection 48 for some years and it was 2016 since the last Ofsted inspection so we are particularly pleased to have received an “Outstanding” judgement across all areas. Please read the report which gives an insight to some of the work that the school undertakes.
This judgement reflects the school, staff and wider community. As a school we are very conscious of how well supported we are by the parents and the wider community and want to share to thank you all for working with us to provide the best we can for the students.
Wishing everyone a lovely Easter.
Yours faithfully
Mrs T Boland Ms E O’Connor
Chair of Governors Headteacher
